NewSwim
Hi, I'm located in Victoria and looking for some ma huang/mo huang/ephedra varieties. If prefer sinica but I'll be happy with any varieties at the moment. My preference are seedlings or shrubs for sale but I'd be happy with seeds or dried plant matter instead. Thanks guys, shoot me a pm if you can help me out.
Ickis
I really love this plant. I remember buying it legally in past.
wachumacallit
Fascinating legal history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephedra_(medicine) I don't think the plant itself is prohibited?
Goldfishbrain
Well... it's quite possible the botanical Gardens in Melbourne might just have a specimen from which a small cutting might be discretely taken... Near the shrine of the four winds, if that helps.
wachumacallit
https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/cathine ^ Ephedra sinica shows up on this document, alongside Catha edulis as natural sources of cathine. I'm guessing cathine is what explains the effects of dried khat leaf, which may be a half-decent substitute for E. sinica?
