Happy Wattle Day 2019 - Acacia: Growing Australia's Sacred Trees

Recommended Posts

Happy Wattle Day Everyone!

Today is September 1st which is Australia's National Wattle Day, coincidentally with the beginning of spring it is also the best time to germinate seeds for most Acacia (wattle) species!

To celebrate I have updated the Acacia propagation guide by expanding it, adding more of a visual element and made it easier to access by locating it here in PDF form to be downloaded and shared.

I am very happy to see people relishing the opportunity to grow these plants!

Happy Gardening!

Definitive !! Thanks, your guide will ensure many more wonderful plants will join us.

And just the thing to motivate me, sprout my little stash.

Thanks.

Looking forward to meeting you at Rebel Herbal.

Thanks Communacacian :) - love the new look guide !

To celebrate yesterday's Wattle Day I'd like to continue the tradition that Communacacian started last year by giving away 50 seeds to the first 10 members to reply here (5 each).

Simply reply below and PM me your address

The condition of requesting that each person receiving and germinating seed, gives away a successfully raised seedling to another member of the forum (or even the Facebook group) also applies due to the threatened status of this acacia species and scarcity of seed.

Happy growing :)

Sounds like something I'd like to do - thanks Flux.

(Any chance you can bring the seeds along to the Shock To Awe screening this Saturday?)
