TheMooseZeus
This shows that the best times to harvest P. viridis are 6 am and 6 pm. (Sunrise and sunset) I was wondering if we could correlate/compare data such as the activity of insects in a 24 hours period or humidity percentages etc. (bearing in mind that this plant was in the jungle) Original source - https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/221d/facd7adfa3947e46cd101764a3d25e9da678.pdf?_ga=2.40171938.1492583384.1526295629-1998647047.1526295629 Pic was taken from the Herbalistic instagram
Crop
Good stuff Moose, the bigger peak seems to be sunset, also interesting how they relate dmt production to uv.
squidgygoanna
That's a pretty significant fluctuation, interesting stuff. I'd heard of people harvesting at certain times of the day but I always assumed the benefits of doing so were negligible. I wonder if this is the same for alkaloid concentrations of cacti
TheMooseZeus
I thought it could have something to do with light exposure but it seems less so when you consider that many plants have high levels of DMT in their roots some produce it exclusively in their roots. This seems to suggest insects?
