RIP andyamine

Recommended Posts

It is still surreal to me.

Even after his funeral and the wake I'm still having trouble accepting that he's gone.

I've spent so many days with him, and we had plans for so much for this coming year... This is a hole in my life that is likely not going to fill again.

The support and love shown on Monday was amazing.

He will be missed.

Pete.

Hey, I’m sorry to hear about your friend. I didn’t even know him from the forum but I’ve struggled with pretty severe depression for most of my life (I’m 44 now). My brother had it too and we lost him by way of heroin in 2014 (pretty sure it was accidental, but still, he was secretive about how he was feeling.) This stuff needs to be talked about. I think the great Henry Rollins once said “it’s the lies that give you cancer”..

:(

RIP my brother. You were one cool guy only meet you a few times but we were instant friends.

Will see you again at the big plant meet in the SKY.... with Endrofinder and chemical shaman.

Be in peace my brother

PD, we've been through this too many times already, but none of us are getting younger and there will be more and more. Some by accident, some intentionally, some due to poor health. They are all sad, but we need to celebrate

their lives and their contributions. Come up for the camp out - it will be good.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. I never met him irl, but he had been on these forums since before I joined more than a decade ago, and he's one of the people who made this community so great.

He helped and saved so many others yet in the end he could not save himself. There is a hole in my heart which will never heal . :(

Been a long time since I've been on this forum, only just seeing this now. Literally a day too late for the camp it seems.

Really sad news to hear. He was far too young to pass, particularly given the circumstances.

Much love to all who were close with him.

he was a realy awesome bloke, extremely generous, well spoken, and like cs a very beautyfull person on the surface and in the heart.  he was very active, creating meetings, and burning cd's for you, and at times he lived a life, we all would be jealous of. when I close my eyes I see him at the camping ground.

I loved him from the start, and I know he loved most of us.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the Andyamine memorial camp! We laughed, we cried, and we partied to remember our dear friend.
Also many thanks to Christian's family for being so supportive, for sharing the pictures and videos, for giving the event their blessing and support, and most of all for having given us such a special person. I hope we can do our bit to make sure his good deeds are remembered (there are rumours this camp thing might become a regular event ;) ).

Christian loved the plants  (photo provided by his brother).

The memorial tree (spotted gum) Toby brought from Sydney, with the plaque made by Hillbilly. Immediately after planting, before niggles tidied it up on sunday.

Christian was a raver from the very early days of the Melbourne rave scene. So naturally there was techno after dinner. Thanks DJ Orion for the sound gear and your awesome track selection.

Tree looks much better now. Thanks niggles. Meanwhile there was a sapo/kambo ceremony going on just out of frame. Sorry, no pics (and luckily no sound either ;) ).
