Psychotraits Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) Hey guys. Recently found and confirmed Amanita Muscaria. Upon drying we forgot to use a screen and some of the mushroom beame somewhat mushie, hahaha, however we made further attempts to dehydrate it and are continuing to do so but wanted to see what you guys recommended, after having this minor setback. I read on a forumn that the kind that were native to australia were not nearly as active as those found in other regions and I wanted to know what were your experiences with them, have you ever found them? How did you prepare them? Were they any good? Thanks for the help guys, hope you enjoy the find Edited June 4, 2017 by Psychotraits
Drildo Posted June 11, 2017 I think consumption is considered illegal in aus man. I've heard stories of people over seas peeling the skins off the cap, drying the skins and smoking them. I think if your fruitbody has turned mushie, chuck it man... lol fk that. This thread may have some info on drying, was written by one of our OS members: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?/topic/44110-amanita-muscaria-ultimate-super-duper-thread/ Dunno if this guy is legit: Master Soma Shaman Hawk: This is the same bloke, eating a phalloides, aka death cap. Apparently you can, but your dicing with death should something go wrong:
