Visceral420 Posted January 21, 2017 Hey Guys n Gals So last year my brother and I adopted a dog, Buddy. He is a 4 year old Stafford-shire Bull-Terrier, who was an adventurer and kept running away from homes. He is now quite happy in his forever home. He has decided we are his pack and I am ever thankful he did. This morning my brother took him to the vet to get a lump checked out, turns out it's a skin tumour and he is going to need an operation Buddy has been amazing for my mental and physical health and I would like to repay that favour and keep him as happy and healthy as long as I can. Towards that end though I need some help. My brother has setup a gofundme, which should be enough to cover the operation and everything after if we can raise all the funds. https://www.gofundme.com/buddy-surgeryrecovery-fund Any and all help is muchly appreciated. Will be putting some stuff up for sale to go towards this soon. Much Love Visceral

Visceral420 Posted January 21, 2017 (edited) There's no slowing this staffy down! Bundles of madness is a good way to put it haha Crazy how much personality they have This is the first time he hasn't liked the vet. Did not enjoy 3 needles in the attempt to get a sample, poor bugger! I highly recommend getting the largest size kong toy, made for 60+kg dogs, first thing he hasn't destroyed in a matter of minutes Thankyou Edited January 21, 2017 by Visceral420
squidgygoanna Posted January 22, 2017 Damn, sorry to hear Visceral. Bit of cash headed your way, wish I could afford to give more. There's also a few veterinary bill assistance mobs around, like https://www.vetpay.com.au/ They allow you to set up a payment plan so you can pay the bills off over time. Might be something worth looking into. Hope everything goes well mate

El Presidente Hillbillios Posted January 22, 2017 We used the vetpay thing a few years ago. when my dog needed some emergency surgery that cost a few thousand. they were so helpfull and interest free too! Theyre easy to deal with and so helpful

Visceral420 Posted January 24, 2017 So bill assistance was a no go, but thanks to the donations of some amazing people and the assistance of some of our friends, surgery moved out of bank breaking and will just make things really tight for awhile. The vets had an opening this morning and Buddy has had his operation, he is recovering now and we will pick him up this afternoon. So thankyou everyone!
