Maybe you're not doing it right EG.

You Germans do pollinate them with your d!#ks like all us Aussies do, right?

wow, nice...

I have simpler goals in my life.. one of the trichocereus related ones is to put my 3 taquimbalensis wilkae in the ground and cross-pollinate them when (?) they flower, and also plant pasacana and terscheckii (got a sizable seed grown)  in the ground.

taquimbalensis wilkae , which is arguably one of the most handsome spiny columnars, and IMO the most handsome trichocereus , at least of the relatively fast growing ones, now I dunno about the spiniest var from the driest desert chile, chilensis... I am talking about a cactus that doesn't take ages to grow some size.

wilkae, with its distinctive and somewhat random spine angles is well worth trying to get

plain taquimbalesis - tacaquirensis is much more common with straight spines.

pasacana seedlings in the photo, bought from an awesome polish ebayer.
