synaesthete Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) Thinnings from well established TBM collection. Calloused and ready to post. Many will arrive as a stack that could be further divided, calloused then propagated. All sales to date have been negotiated through PM and based on the pricing feedback in the thread below. niggles Posted October 20, 2016 Woah! Those prices are pretty steep! Ihave never had to pay more than $10 for a pup, and those were some monster pups! I would usually only pay $5 a head unless they are particularly nice - like the ones LEster Meyers sells, beautiful greenhouse grown specimens. See that? Thats a 4 inch $10 specimen. Unblemished greenhouse grown. Istill think $10 is a bit steep but its a beauty.
synaesthete Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks niggles for the feedback. I really had no idea where to start in terms of a price point. The arithmetic and value of 3 x 2 inch pups versus a single 4 inch is straightforward – in a single growing season you yield 3 times as much. These cuttings have been excised from plants cultivated on a rather harsh and rocky slope. The potted specimen/example is more true to type and comparable with the image you included. HolographicYou Posted October 20, 2016 Don't get me wrong, they are worth that in novelty, but that just isn't the going rate. Try and compete with this sites established store? http://www.shaman-australis.com.au/shop/echinopsis_lageniformis_var_monstrose_dick_penis_plant_plant_pr_240.php
synaesthete Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks HY for the link. How do you propose I price my basket of cuttings?
Change Posted October 20, 2016 You could consider holding an auction
synaesthete Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks change. I have roughly 20 quite variable cuttings. Some are single pups but most have the more stacked morphology seen in the images. Not sure it would be straightforward to manage an auction for so many different items except to list them all separately. I will give your suggestion some consideration.
