Realm Posted March 21, 2016 I'd imagine a pressure cooker would turn a day-long brewing task into an hour or two. A shaman in the Amazon brewing Ayahuasca(Caapi plus Viridis) probably has plenty of time but if he/she used a pressure cooker, would this impact on the quality of the decoction? Would high pressure and heat destroy any active constituents?
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted March 21, 2016 i havent a clue but its a very interesting question however , an aluminium one would be totally out of the question due to a chemical reaction I read about once with aluminium pans so if it can ,,, it would have to be a steel one

shortly Posted March 22, 2016 I dont know about extractions. But we (actually my girls, i tend to stay out of their way in the kitchen) cook food inside a ceramic crock pot with a lid that sits neatly inside the PC. They cover the pot with foil to keep the condensation out when cooking.

Conv3rgence Posted March 22, 2016 What timings and pressure settings for ACRB or how about obtusifolia twigs and phyllodes?
theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted March 22, 2016 (edited) Hypothetically speaking, 15-20mins per boil @ 15psi. Purely based on old school reading from ER. Do what shortly says and don't let it foam and block the air hole parts etc. a pillow case with a plate over the top is next best Edited March 22, 2016 by theuserformallyknownasd00d
