waterboy 2.0
'Tis HD.... But sadly it legacy pollution from the old tin mining days (this spot via bucket dredge) , high free copper levels in the water giving the eye pleasing hue. Devoid of aquatic life.

Was going to say that blue looks unnatural for fresh water. Reminds me of some of the mountain lakes in NZ, they have amazing turquoise colours.
waterboy 2.0
The last effort went astray I reckon this will be my last giant pumpkin grow... waterboy 2.0
Okay cause I know someone will get a chuckle out of my madness , the time felt right and I've hit the ground as of yesterday. Still a chance of frost, but got the contingency. Although if my eye sees some potential with the spare I'll rougue out the planted one. It's got a week to impress me against the potted one.... I've been culling plants left, right and centre... Lol.. It knows

waterboy 2.0
Getting close to boom time, got good vine structure(s) , heats caused a few flower aborts. Might have to run mist over them midday until set. Lost a fair bit of botanical stuff as the suns killing it, including me. Running at low give a Fuck currently, hit the bottom get back up Keeping dedication on this though, settled on 2 vines, split where the blue hose runs in. Both vines performing OK, on fruit set may cull one. Tomato plants are in until I get some seed. Had a few days of hardcore smoke close in on us from offshore.... Thoughts out to any of you walking on black and ash.

waterboy 2.0
First stage of daily gains. Next stage will be bigger gains. Will start covering it from the sun in an effort to reduce skin hardening.

waterboy 2.0
@Dozer In my case it's until frost takes the vine Plenty of growing time to goit'll ripen for sure. Weathers all over the place... Maybe into late april, could punch into may Once growth ramps up it still amazes me Edited February 4, 2020 by waterboy 2.
waterboy 2.0
Hmmm...think I might lose it. Has rained heavily here and humidity high. Growth has been very unequal and slowed, and it formed hollows that waters has sat in. There's a good chance it'll crack. It's not soft yet, but I'm not optimistic it won't rot. If I get it through it'll be a fuggly one even fugglier than this one Edited February 11, 2020 by waterboy 2.0 2
SayN
That's a beauty! What type are they? Albino butternut?
waterboy 2.0
@SayN They be Atlantic Giant stock, but theres a heap of variety within it. Some have that butternut look and others a rich orange. Some nice and round and some end up like an old bean bag... Lol Lost the initial one, got a secondary growing... Cooling off but. About the same size as the failed one. Will see how big I can get it.
