I like it when a plan comes together, I sort of forgot that I made this raised bed up originally to hold 8 bales all nice and snug. Will only try this batch of 6 (snow and sugar snap peas in containers), and a coupla stray free standing ones....lol...only taken a few years Started "cooking" them a coupla days ago, 12+ days of "cooking" to get them fit for using. Be throwing some more ferts onto them today and another wash in. Updates!!??

waterboy 2.0
LOL dude...well ya could have ribbed me I get distracted.... I'll dig them back out, not done yet though. I've gotta stop putting all my images and the ones I collect in one folder. I still take piccies of my less than best work. In a nutshell though filled the freezer with heaps of choice snow peas , and from the same bed I gave up on tomatoes...lol...even though the bales were throwing heat the bastards late frosts took out a coupla plantings of seedlings....grrrrrr... more a timing issue, lack of proper crop protection and for tassie a bastard tomato year. Got it all broken down and have got it heating up again to finish the composting off, so basically an enriched mulch now......setting up for brassicas. The other smaller group I did got hammered by forest ravens....never had that issue before, not sure why. They just "vandalised" it more than anything, just by pulling things up. Got a few decent carrots and baby beetroots out of them...sweet FA in the scheme of things though.... If I pulled my finger out and threw some bird net ( or shoot the fckn birds...) over the bales earlier I would have won better Maybe replant theses ones again as they stand (with a little reinforcement), I have left them in a F it state for a few weeks....lol Edited April 21, 2017 by waterboy 2.0

waterboy 2.0
New puggle that made friends today, Mr. Stickybeak. I'm going hard-core outside and he sneaks up and tapped me on the boot and is up over the steelcap, far from timid this one-they usually curl up but Mr. Stickybeak DGAF... Lol He followed around an hour or so, I turned a sleeper and a few rocks over so he could raid the ants under them.. Lol.. Have a feed, wander back eye me off, repeat. Any other would be dug into the dirt awaiting me to be gone.

waterboy 2.0
By rhizomes Gimli, these are select clones of cultivars. I think its too late to bandicoot bits off them now... I think... Maybe. You can grow em by seed, but they won't be true to a type, there's some old clones about Edited October 22, 2017 by waterboy 2.0
