Sallubrious Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) this thread indeed read a bit better with a little disco I am curious. do you still have a santa, that comes in middle of summer? a xmas tree , presents for the kids and all that shit? amanita muscaria decorations, and the like? ps: paradox, your awesome man Yeah we still have Santa. It's a bizarre scenario, some people set up a shrine to Santa in their front yard with Reindeer slays and fake snow etc and deck the whole house and yard out with a million lights. Then sometimes in the middle of their shrine to the consumer god (Santa) they have a disproportionate little section with the three wise men and dioramas of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus tucked in there somewhere. The whole Santa thing is intriguing, I find young kids instinctively don't like him and freak out when their parents dump them on his lap for Christmas photos at the local shopping centre. When they get a bit older and associate Santa with loads of flashy shit they love him, but younger kids can't understand why their parents are handing them over to a stranger dressed like a freak. The latest thing I saw was Santa photos on the beach, so now people drag their kids out into the sun on a 40 deg. day to get their kids pictures taken with a stranger dressed for a blizzard.
