Ed. Posted September 4, 2015 Went outside and found this growing all over a rubber tree offcut that was lying in the yard, It was a piece of log that I put other pieces of wood to cut on the top of it so the chainsaw wouldn't hit the dirt when cutting. Been sitting there next to the fence for about 2 years now. Just noticed it today completely covered over, don't know how long they have been on it, It is very hard so don't know it it is dried out or just the species it is, broke off one piece and photographed the underneath side Image 3 but it is quite tough. Anyone know what it is? Cheers Ed.

theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted September 4, 2015 Could be versicolor but they tend to hold their color more as they dry? At least around here. Possibly trametes elegans?
Ed. Posted September 7, 2015 Thanks guys, the colour of these seem rather pale, so can't tell if they were always like this or turned that colour after they dried, also can't tell if they are still growing or not.
