Philocacti
This was grafted in May. I already posted these in "Trichocereus BK09509.2 - Huachuma de Chavin" thread. However, they fit here as well.

hostilis
Damn, I've never seen a plant grow that much in one year. That's crazy!
Philocacti
ThanksI have a confession though, it took me 10 years to get the hang of growing columnar cacti. So the 1st 5 years or so, I stalled my whole collection, excluding lophophoras and ariocarpus. I somehow assume that in another 10 years, I'll say that it took me 20 years to understand growing columnar cacti :DI believe if I put a 30% shading cloth, I'll get more growth than what I'm getting. But I'll probably do this in a year or 2. Edited September 12, 2015 by Philocacti
hostilis
I feel you. This year has been the best for me. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it because I got like 5x more growth than I have in previous years. It's a constant learning process. Probably even after 30 years. Change
Here is my favorite little graft Its a TBM areole grafted to an unknown tricho that i grew from seed The first picture was taken about a month after it was grafted, now its been 4 months since the little fella recovered from surgery, it was really cool to watch, it took within a week but did nothing for the first month, i was really uncertain as to weather or not it would start growing, then all of a sudden BOOM it popped straight out the top Edited September 13, 2015 by Change
