Cactus of the month year day thread? Which cactus is really shining for you right now?

Recommended Posts

My first degraft grew a root

Grafted this pachanoi onto pere last summer and bumped it off early this spring, didn't grow that much yet...might make this my bonsai cactus

have been in a ferocactus mood lately.

I particularly like my Fero gracilis coloratus, my Ferobergia and a couple new small Ferobergias I got.

I had to look twice to notice it was a graft. What a perfect clean seamless graft - well done mate very impressive.

Bloody thing looks reptilian :P like a Godzilla limb

That is magnificent sponge! You don't see many like that. :)

I'm loving this terscheckii at the moment...

Not the best pic but this thing is a beast! The girth on it would put Ron Jeremy to shame. Straight in the ground once he has some roots.

Beautiful Pasacana spooge... mate I've noticed this cactus lately throughout the forums, namely godless recent posts. its absolutely gorgeous.

I imagine when purchasing these cacti you'd have to personally visit the nursery's wouldn't you? I wanna get these bastards posted but it'd be like posting a dead body.

These things are crazy, you see them in Hollywood movies, in the desert... fkn 'fear and loathing' style shit... LOVE it!

Victoria & SA have some of this country's finest cacti - I wonder what it is  fkn straya man - we have some beautiful cacti floating around nowdays.

Very nice spooge, mine won't spiral. Just goes left then right and won't hold the form. Still looks very cool though!

I've thought about this with other plants ,.. and I dnno if it would work ..., but

what about a rotating pot ? or a rotating table rather with pot attached...

I'm sure it wouldn't take much effort for a small motor on a stable construction similar to a bmx gyro

if anyone technical minded with the time on their hands might wanna have a crack at it..

- hope you fit into those categories :3 ... if you give it a try ...

maybe even solar powered?

Idea being that the growth follows the light rotating one way only ...
