Cheers Tarenna, and Mountain Goat (I like your wow mate)

Astros and Trichocereus I am concentrating on now as these plants are not a declared species in this state.

this is very important to me now in a way it never was before.

theres something about the 'presence' of these two species that I'm attracted to.

like others I phase in and out of 'attraction' to certain plants, though these two I seem to have become hooked on cultivating.

its very exciting when the temp is right and the astrophytum flower, I'm quick to pollenate them and usually do this on the second or third day that the flowers are open as this is when there appears to be ample pollen in each flower.

Trichocereus with the exception of spachianus, flower where I am - late December and early januarary and feburary.

we have some very special clones budding atm and will make some very interesting x's this season.

i look forward to distributing these throughout the community once the seeds have been cleaned.

Very nice olive. I will be keen as to either buy or trade you something for some astrophytum seeds when they become available

It is avery nice plant Coolname.

Am still GFGing at it mysel every time I look at the plant _Cursive

Half the seeds from the oooooge crested nudum and half the seeds from which ever of the Astros in the collection here that are x pollinated with it will go to the cool guy who he's lent the beutiful nudum.

The other half (and this is we get any seeds of course)

I will keep half of the half and will be most happy to trade the remaining seeds for Trichocereus cuts or Trichocereus seedlings that are interesting x's. Takes about a monthish for the seeds to form and the pods to crack, this being the case it won't be far off.

Am carefully labelling the crosses I am attempting so there is no confusion over who is who.

Ohhh that is exciting. I usually have a few different trichocereus cuts and seedlings available so hopefully we can sort something out ☺

I like to collect, as you can see Wert it's almost a problem. :)

Garden is green - credit card is red, hahahahahaha.

Father fukker is more of an apt expletive, lol, def ina nice way, lol x2

The world of Trichocereus is seemingly endless, there's always more.

Even within the same name or type there is variation depending in origin.

Trichocereus watered and fed well in this climate grow extremely vigorously.

Lotsa the ones in pots that are big enough will go in the ground in Autumn, many new gardens to make.

Super easy to do this after the first rains as the weeds and grass are easy to chip out with a hoe and the ground is nice n soft.

I find a combo of nutes works very well.

Thrive is cheapish and goes along way, as do bags of preprepared chookshit that I buy for 5 bucks a pop.

Never been one to make my own nutes, with exception of compost of course.

Has dried up rather quickly this year, in previous years the grass was still green in early December.
