whos got the tallest trichs?

i remember san pedro was somewhere around 40 foot for the tallest recorded specimen, but im interested in what youve got in your back yard, Ive got a few pc and bridgesii in pots that are over 2 metres, havent measured them for a while now though.

My biggest is only a metre or so tall... But you know what they say, it's not the size that counts, but what you do with it (not that I'm planning on doing anything with my cacti, other than admire them grow

yeah I got one over 35 feet tall but I don't have pics so you can pretty much guarantee it never happened. :P

It's the girth not the length anyway...

^ I've seen a few cuts from some scops of Halcyon's. Fuckn hooj mate! :o I have one of the stumps pushing up in my garden now. :wink:

As mentioned above, a good mate and teacher to me has an exceptional cactus collection, with some fucking monsters in it. Easy 4 metre bridgeys. Pretty sure he has shared a few pics here and there too... :wink:

What sort of weather brought it down interbeing? My biggest is about 6" and it survived the 100+kmh winds last week, it was in the lee of the house luckily.

This happened mid last year in Melb, pretty sure the wind was 120kmh+

Yikes, hopefully that was the worst of your damage then. My Brugs copped a hiding but still they're hanging on.
