Apparently big pharma routinely restricts the release of results of their drug trials... :o

Well bugger me, and apparently some upstarts reckon we should have all of the facts, not just the cherry-picked results. AllTrials is their name apparently. The nerve of some people, questioning legit corporate entities like that... :wink:

There is bias in everything, medicine is no exception. It's the degree as to what bias is acceptable in terms of gaining funding for drugs.

Ghostwriting and the making up of facts, or manipulating data is completely unacceptable in any scientific format.

However, what gets my fucking goat with these types of discussion is the conspiracy theories surrounding pharmaceutical industries and the idea that there are cures relating to AIDS and cancer, but companies keep them secret to make a profit.

Don't even get me started on immunisation....
