Psyentist Posted February 5, 2015 G'day everyone! I recently received a rooted cutting labeled pachanoi "Justin". I personally have never heard of this clone? Has anybody else? Is anyone growing it? Can anybody tell me anything about this clone? Cheers.
incognito Posted February 5, 2015 There was a sab nursery manager by the name of Justin.. Maybe?
Brendo Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) I have one. It's a mix between three different clones, though I haven't bothered to look into the origins of any of them. Nice plant nonetheless, loves to pup What does yours look like? Beginning of 2013 when I first got it, it's lucky to have survived with that terrible top dressing.. Taken today. interbeing Posted February 5, 2015 As incog suggested, It's a sab clone that came from a previous manager. Quite the looker Just propagated a few cuttings, we'll have some available through the nursery/web-store in the coming months
incognito Posted February 5, 2015 Was a wild guess I can't remember a Justin clone there when I was there and I took over from Justin.
interbeing Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) Was a wild guess I can't remember a Justin clone there when I was there and I took over from Justin. There were two Justins at the nursery Edited February 7, 2015 by interbeing
nitrogen Posted February 5, 2015 Probably then named after or by the long-haired hippy looking Justin, of the two..
Psyentist Posted February 5, 2015 Awesome! Thanks for all the input guys. And it makes a lot of sense that it came from sab. The friend that gave it to me recently acquired a number of new cacti and it did have a very sab-esque white name tag with it. He is quite a handsome fellow isn't he! Mine is very small and quite weird looking but there is something about him I find very attractive.
cactuscarl Posted February 6, 2015 Is it hard as a rock? I have a pc looking clone that looks similar... the main reason I'm sure it's not pc is it's way to firm it feels like it's made of stone.
Psyentist Posted February 7, 2015 Hey Carl, Yeah, my little one is as hard as a rock. Hah, kinda looks a bit like a rock too, what with its pale green skin and dwarf like pyramid stature. I think that's why I like him.
