pachanoi.. PC or Fields?

Hi there.

Well I received a lovely gift from my mother in law in the mail recently.

I am curious about whether people think this is a 'PC' type pachanoi. I would have thought so generally but this particular cut came from a plant prob about 20klms from the field farm. Considering the location I'd say its likely to have originated from one the the field farm plants.

What do you all think?

In comparison a couple of known fields pachanoi cuts next to the new one.

The plants do look quite the same to me, but the spines are almost too short and thin and the rib backbones just a little too straight for a pure PC to me. Having grown a lot of hybrids of the PC it could be almost any PC hybrid...with peru, scop, pach, you name it, but probably not bridgesii.

Thanks all for your input! Whatever it is is was a lovely surprise from mum in law. I will get some photos up of the plant it came from hopefully.

skin doesn't look like pc imo, too waxy/patchy (pc is more smooth green imo)

also aerioles don't stick up enough,
