Tricho serious Posted June 3, 2014 Hello all I am going to try attempt growing some Rivea corymbosa from seed, I was just wondering if any one on here could help me out with any advice on the best way to germinate them or even any tips at all on how to grow them, Thanks guys
Shamanistic Posted June 3, 2014 When I started some from seed I think I got a strike rate of 9/10 by simply soaking them in water overnight and planting in some moist seedling mix, they didn't need too much convincing to sprout. One thing to keep in mind is these vines can get a little invasive so keep that in mind when you plant them out. Good luck!
katu Posted June 10, 2014 You can scarify the seed by nicking it away from the eye then soaking in water for a few hours to overnight. Don't soak for to long or the seed will split. Its a tropical vine so try to emulate tropical conditions. It's not a hard plant to look after if your in the right climate. Not sure how it'd go in sub tropical, depends on ya micro climate I guess. Good luck mate..
