Beautiful plant. Nice growth rate too. What soil mix do you use in your outdoor beds?

Sweet score!! Looks a lot like a T. Peruvianus cv Tarmensis I have, such a beauty!

I really like how you have ample room to walk around each cacti and inspect them :)

edit: thought I'd throw in a pic of mine to show similarity

They are planted straight into the ground no soil added. To be honest the soil looks like shit here. Pure sand, very little organic material visible. Obviously nutrients in the ground as the garden does well. I fertilise with blood and bone 2 or 3 times a season, water alot( Don't care what anyone says I water my Trichs hard through growing season) and added the stone to help retain soil moisture through summer.

Get drunk and talk to them a alot, am sure that's the secret :P

Nice cacti! I've gotten some pretty good ones from bunnings too over the years. You have the most amazing looking yard.

Halcyon Daze,

This beauty is a Icaros DNA Peru and the fattest trich known to man ha ha.

Seriously though as fat as any Terscheckii or Validus I have, its a monster.

Can't even look like joining two hands around it.

Some pics below

Wow, I always wondered how those seeds would come up.

Icaros x terscheckii...

Now that would be a legendary cross :drool2:

That is just beautiful!!! I would love to get a nice blue peruvianus like that. Now I just need to move somewhere that is suitable for outdoor growth.

Wonderful Tricho! No Tarmaensis though. How much did you pay?

$60.00 for that one.
