mutant Posted December 12, 2014 thats a fine collection dude! I think your "ferocactus" must be a Stenocactus (syn Echinofossulatus) , but I cant really see the ribs... Seems like it though...

spooge Posted March 16, 2015 You have THE most epic collection there pimento ... Many many nice blooms. Thank you Im fairly new to the cacti collecting addiction, carried around a few for a while though have really got into it in the last couple of years. was a bromeliad nut, then mycology and now its collectors cacti and trichocereus. Felt the others were manageable, a few slight twitches here and there. Cactus for me is not a manageable thing............... its an all consuming, mesmerising addiction, ima junkie. every spare dollar and ones that aren't are being pooled and spent, everyday now melts into the next............. will make a thread of them all soon, they are quite impressive all together. if all the flowers are anything to go by then they must be liking their homes, think ive snagged some good growing conditions by accident. these are in plastic houses under shade cloth, the plastic houses heat up nicely during the day, we have cold nights.

I grew a seedling once, I grafted another... slow fuckers... many of my sulco and turbini grafts were pested with fucken scales.. they never make it if you neglet them.. I got to use some more chemical war I guess... or not...
