waterboy 2.0
Sweet HB,I was leaning towards sewing it up and putting tyvek tape over joins (used for repairing book spines <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_newimprovedwinkonclear.gif ) to ensure a waterproof seal. Bit like what they do with gortex gear. Can't avoid ambient humidity, but want to keep rain from penetrating. My sewing skills are not mad...lol Edited February 1, 2014 by waterboy
Alice
Check out the Wikipedia page for Tyvek. It lists the manufacturers recommended adhesives.
MikeyMagic
There are two main types of plastic;Thermo-plastics; these can be heated and reshaped and Tyvek would fall into this catagory. Heating an element and pressing the parts together might work..
