Spamming aussie to buy slavia cause its already illegal in AUS?

Recommended Posts

Glad to see "salvia light" links to my salvia info page so that people know what risk they are taking.

The other site actually falsely states that salvia is legal all around the world. I have e-mailed them.

Basically almost all shops will still sell salvia to australia. It is the receivers responsibility, not the senders. Best not to support those who directly market at our misery.

Torsten could you tell me what the law is reguarding receiving illegal goods in the mail?

A friend has on a few occasions received things in the mail, not from companies but from friends. medication that is S8. My friends (flawed???) logic was that how the hell could he know the contents untill opened, and even then how could he be expected to know what the substance is and what it's legality is. And further it could not be proven that the mail sent to him was actually intended for him, nor could it be proven that their was ever any request for the product. The mail was sent to a po box with the name "Box Holder" as the adressee.

Is absolutely none of that relevent, simplly accepting a package with a restricted scheduled substance inside would be illegal, and an offence, or must the package be opened, and examined by the receipiant and if no attempt is made to return to sender then does it become an offence?

And if so, what's stopping anyone from framing people by sending them illicit goodies in the mail, that would definatly be detected by sniffer dogs.

Surely there must be safeguards against people being prosecuted in that circumstance and if so, surely that could be used a defence in receiving anything in the mail where there is no further evidence than the possession of the package?

your friend is pretty well right with his interpretation. however the authorities know this problem and will usually try to set a trap of some sort. for example, they might open one item and then let it through to see if it gets picked up. then on the next delivery they will do a controlled delivery and nail him. they might also confiscate one item and then let the next one through. once again, if they have two the situation gets a little more severe. on controlled delivery they will also have a search warrant ready for his house, so he better not have anythign there either. they can get pretty nasty when they do a search.
