Pedro99 Posted January 16, 2020 (edited) This isn't quite a "wild" find or a magical one (at least in one sense) , but thought it was pretty interesting! Apparently it's immature birds nest fungi (correct me if I'm wrong) growing in a tricho pot in the garden. Been keeping a close eye out to see them open up. The pictures of them I looked up were amazing! Edit: these little guys popped up in a peres pot too Edited January 17, 2020 by Pedro99

acasshia Posted July 13, 2021 I've noticed the council signs at some walking tracks just outside Brisbane have now been updated to show the local mushrooms along with other flora and fauna. Good to see some public education and recognition, finally!
saguaro Posted July 16, 2021 (edited) Found this myceliated hairy caterpillar on a bushwalk. Since finding it a day ago, the mycelium grew from about 30% to full coverage. I'm guessing it's Beauveria / Cordyceps. I'm gonna put it in a humid takeaway container and see if any fruitbodies grow off it Edited May 9, 2022 by saguaro 1

Ed. Posted May 9, 2022 Found this mushroom this morning in Hervey Bay when I was checking on some of my potted Bromeliads. Been raining for a few days and I put some lawn clippings over that area several weeks ago. Anyone know what it is, I am assuming it's poisonous? Cheers Ed. SayN Posted May 11, 2022 I took my, soon to be, 88 year old dad out for a picnic down the south coast recently. He spotted these (although I knew what they were). And the kingfisher (best/only shot I could get). The irony of how much more beneficial these might be in comparison to the daily anti-depressants he takes was not lost on me. Perhaps 88 is too old.
