wyld...new natural aphrodisiac

Recommended Posts

whilst taking a break from studying for end of semester exams and watching temptation island, and ad came on TV for an aphrodisiac.

Now, I thought the law makers weren't too fond of aphrodisiacs so I decided to investigate the products website.

It quotes Tribulus Terrestris and Diamiana (didn't know they were aphrodisiacs) and Muira Puama (which I don't know what it is).

another sus product or has someone found a decent aphrodisiac that the law hasn't decided in't safe for the general populous.

oh yeah.

"Now available at all leading pharmacies, healthfood stores and supermarkets. Just ask for WYLD for men as seen on TV. Or else make your purchase now online."

hehe.

you're right, they don't approve. I can't see this sort of advertising surviving for long.

It quotes Tribulus Terrestris

Contains steroids that body builders swear by. I guess the implication is stamina ....

and Diamiana (didn't know they were aphrodisiacs)

Damiana is a well known aphrodisiac. Not sure why and how, but even I feel it sometimes. It certainly relaxes and mellows, which goes a long way to getting frisky. Drinking a lot of the tea also cleans out the kidneys and seems to have a tingly sensation on the bladder and/or urethra. This effect is the classic aphrodisiac effect of dita, spanish fly and vuka-vuka, however much milder and safer.

and Muira Puama (which I don't know what it is).

The german name for this is potenz Holz (potency-wood), which gives some indication of its activity. It is a traditional aphrodisiac in its native area. Can't say I ever had any effect from it though.

The problems with aphrodisiacs lies mostly in the definition of the word. Most herbs that are supposed to be aphrodisiacs belong into two groups. One group are the relaxing herbs. Those that let you ease into the more natural state. Adrenaline is the big enemy for erections, and stress = adrenaline. This group also includes the herbs/preps that lower inhibitions, such as alcohol, GHB, cannabis, belladonna, and other inebriants.

The other group are the irritants. These things work by mildly (or excessively) irritating the bladder, urethra or any other part of the primary or secondary sexual regions. These include spanish fly and similar insects (vuka-vuka), chlorogenic acid (in Alstonia scholaris and green coffee beans),and various herbs.

A third group is marginal and is based mainly on stamina (especially male) and orgasm control/delay.

The fourth group are the 'real' aphrodisiacs as far as I am concerned. These are substances that cause an increased bloodflow to the pelvic region WITHOUT a secondary irritation or distraction. The increased bloodflow in the generalised region means that the substance works on both males and females. This group includes viagra and yohimbine (Pausinystalia yohimbe). There are also some alkaloids closely related to yohimbine that have similar effects.

alstonia may belong to 2 or 3 of those groups, maybe even all, though i'd normally use it with yohimbine and a smoking mix.

i'm wary of the deep depression it can release some times though.

anyone know of a source for seed or plants?

devil tree!

true, there is the yohimbine and related alkaloids doing the blood pressure thing; the chlorogenic acid doing the irritation, and the side effect of delayed orgasm. personally I can't wait to get my hands on Alstonia macrophylla, as this appears even more interesting.

I have plenty of unviable seed for experimentation. I also have a few plants, but due to some labelling disaster they got mixed up with Alstonia muelleriana. I am tryin got get more viable seed for the next growing season.
