alien Posted May 30, 2002 Thats a good idea man, i wonder if you can. Beats using pestacides (im totally against that, bad for our frog populations and many other animals). Speaking of bugs, my seedlings were all eaten by snails which made me smile hehe. I dont know i love snails sooo much they are soo cute. I dont mind sharing my garden with em

Andrew Posted May 30, 2002 Thought I,d mention, for those that have ladybugs in their garden, that there are two sorts of ladybugs, one is carnivorous(it eats bugs)and the other is a vego(it will eat your plants). The difference is in the number of spots on them.Of course if you ordered some from a predatorial insect company you will get the carnivores. DreamingNagual Posted June 18, 2002 I can remember catching these little black alligator looking creatures when I was back in primary school, anyway we kept em an they F***ing turned into "Ladybirds". I was told Ladybugs are herbacios and Ladybirds are carnies and eat insects such as aphids, could have a look for some as the tree is still there,if ne 1 wants some but how would they go in the mail? Murple Posted June 18, 2002 The garden center where I work sells them for about $9US for a little container with a few hundred of them. They do work pretty well for aphids, but mantids work better since they eat a wider range of buggies.
