0 cactuscarl Posted August 1, 2013 I have no idea what it is but whatever it is it's freakin awsome, good score
0 zelly Posted August 1, 2013 kinda looks like a Euphorbia tortirama, look for a white latex sap inside the green vege portion to confirm euphorbia.
0 CβL Posted August 1, 2013 My guess is a Euphorbia too, that's been cut back maybe to explain the giant tuber/root.
0 shortly Posted August 1, 2013 Thats a perfectly normal habit for the medusoid Euphorbias, no pruning required.
0 bℓσωηG Posted August 1, 2013 cool ! it must have needed a re-pot for a while huh
0 bogfrog Posted August 2, 2013 I'm thinking its probably a euphorbia stellata ..like this beauty: I made a slight nick on one of the leaves with a razorblade and the white latex sprung forth just as i was expecting. What a cool freebie :D I think i will have to put this one in a nice display pot. Its very bonsai-like already. Thanks for your thoughts everyone.
0 Stillman Posted August 2, 2013 that is awesome could very well be a Euphorbia.
0 bℓσωηG Posted August 2, 2013 so the roots are meant to be bigger than the foliage?
0 bogfrog Posted August 2, 2013 Yep i think so. It probably falls under the caudiciform umbrella?
