El Presidente Hillbillios Posted June 29, 2013 I really don't know where to start looking. Are you guys finding these at small reserves or going further out of town? I'm going to go check out some parks and etc tomorrow, but some advice from the experts would be lovely when theyre on,theyre on pretty much everywere. It worth looking in every garden bed you see

Scarecrow Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) I went looking last night, and managed to find a few... except they were old, shrivelled and questionably edible (not that I'd want to eat them!). It seems there hasn't been enough rain in that spot. I'll check back if the weather picks up, but in the meantime I guess I'll try somewhere else. theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Somewhere isn't everywhere scarecrow! Maybe to put it in another way for ya.... Be prepared to walk kms, an then more kms... I cover maybe 15km a day by foot locally when out on the photo expedition... Leave your car at one end of the reserve, and simply walk the entire thing. Make sure to mentally grid the parks so you can keep track of where you've been. I've even had to cab it back to my car on occasions as I was way to far to walk on dusk 18kms! Also, I suggest no iPods, no phones, ciggie breaks should be had at planned stops only... All this is just distraction and you won't tune in, it's simple... Basically mate you develop a second job. That's the time it requires to become in tune with your area. And once you are tuned in, you'll know where they will be by just vibin on it for a minute ;) I know this isn't direct information on locations etc, but to be completely honest an hr or two here and there won't satisfy Simon, he wants a complete dedication. Half of this shamanic journey is the search, ultimately he wants you tuned in to his, and the myco realms every need before he really unravels the curtain... theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted July 4, 2013 So I decided to take off from the gong, clear my head of constant mushroom walks, and head to my mates holiday house in Tuross Heads. I took the dog for a piss this morning and found dozens growing right in the land I'm staying at. Simon; stop following me ;) Ps- are my photos large enough to view? Posting from my mobile..

theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted July 4, 2013 Yeh DTBs got it goin on for real yeh!!! So good to now they are up that way for good and not have those silly rumours floating round about them up north of Sydney! I'm honestly surprised nobody else is really chiming in! We all know the melb crew have a good run but where's all the country nsw and sydney folk!?
Change Posted July 4, 2013 Thanks guys Im still using a phone camera, it blows my mind how good the photos come out. Ive got a long way to go before i can give dood a run for his money, he has totally inspired me to get out hunting in the first place. In my area i cant find any growing in wood chip garden beds, and ive been hunting everyday All my good results are coming from Aussie bush land (45 mins south of me), under ferns and around fallen rotting gum trees
theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted July 4, 2013 That small grassy cover is key bro! Ya onto a winner! When your out bush at ya patch, stop and look for which way the wind has been running and which was the water flows. Then follow those lines both ways and I guarantee more success ;)
Jox Posted July 5, 2013 I'm honestly surprised nobody else is really chiming in! We all know the melb crew have a good run but where's all the country nsw and sydney folk!? Well I know I'm not there but if I am still finding them in s/e QLD, at two different locations. So they should be turning up in northern NSW. I am not going to give the exact local but there are with in a 40min drive from the goldy. (I may be more direct if you are a trusted member & send me a PM ) A few pics from today 1st location 2nd location Thanks for looking, Cheers Jox
theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted July 5, 2013 Cool Jox, something tells me you need to take these guys under your wing and be the protector, spreader and worshiper until the patches spread and are well established ;)
Jox Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) Thanks dood, I do fill kind of responsible for these little patch's of shrooms & yesterday I put a bit of time in to see if I could find any more locations. I can happily say I found a new location . Here are some photos taken today 1st location 2nd location Just out of interest can someone tell me when the sub season finishes down south? I am just curious to know when these little gems are going to disappear. Cheers jox Edited July 24, 2013 by Jox
