Bush Turkey Posted March 28, 2013 Hi all! I was wondering what other people's recipes are for green pesticides? I had a problem with sand flies or similar that seems to be under control at the moment and I only used a green pesticide. This is what I used.... 8 chopped Cayenne chillies 4 chopped garlic cloves 1/3 Of a cigarette rollie tobacco A spoonful of un scented soap shavings Add 1 litre of boiling water. Let sit for 48 hours, strain and use Well it's not 100% green but it's close Please share your recipes!

Bert&Ernie Posted March 28, 2013 I've used similar recipes like that for ants! and it works for a few days but you have to keep spraying it where they walk every day or two otherwise they just start walking on it again.... i never tried it with tabacco though and I bet that would be a good use for it xD
DELETED ACCOUNT Posted September 3, 2014 Whoops, I just created a similar thread... I've tried hotter chillis (birds-eye) but without the tobacco, which seemed to work for a while, but wasn't as good as pyrethrin. I'm hearing that neem might be a good alternative...
