all forms are coming from the same clone, so....

Not a good enough reason to own one of those disgusting deformed monstrosities. :P

Too bad no one ever sells regular Eulychnia castanea, they are very nice plants. I'm growing some Eulychnia saint-pieana from seed, going by the pictures on the internet, they should look amazing in a few months (grafts).

I wanted to bring something up that plagueing ebay right now. Some people have found out how to make their cacti extra blue by limiting its light and spectrum. They have also finally realized you can trich(pun) a cacti into mutating by soil condition, light intensity, and other envronmental conditions) So you have guys on ebay selling every bump in a bridgesii cut as a melted wax. Its really a joke cause they are getting htem from the bottom of a huge 15ft stands. And only the bottom branches are monstrosing. All the other branches are beauts. So be warned about melted wax and other mutations, there are ways to force them. Like packing your soil extra tight can force a monstrosing plant to keep monstrosing.

I was super curious about that as well. It's one of the nicer tbm I've seen save the scaring at the bottom. I've got a pretty sweet sweet looking tbm, I might just have to get it out.

TPMXN1tip. Last time it did this, it turned dichotomous.

Yeah, it's just very slight, "first seed grown mutant" jitters. ;)

I'm not really too worried. Hoping for more monsters anyway.

I totally disagree, Trichocereus seedlings can easily die.

For example, while I thought a rate was munching on my cacti. I placed a tray filled with seedlings (mostly nitrogen's magic beans) on a high table. Doves landed on the table and ate the whole tray except for 2 crested seedlings I managed to save.

Ι stand myself corrected - did not include largish animals to the equation .

I suppose I expect me to be lucky?
