FerdieJ
I don’t like hearing about accidents, I hope you’re OK enjaytee. But I love the fact you’re pushing through, “nothing can stop me attending my plants, not even losing a leg!” The worst bit about having to evacuate because of the fires was the thought of coming back to my garden being a blackened mess. Couldn’t give a hoot about the house, just leave my garden alone! Coming back to new growth is so exciting too, watching plants grow day to day isn’t quite the same as seeing what happened while you weren’t there. This afternoon the job is to process a few kilos of apricots that a friend gave me from her tree before they spoil. I will be keeping all the seeds to go with the peacharines I got from her last week, and the cherry and plum seeds I have been saving, and all these will go into a spot in the garden where they can sprout next year. In a few years when they are all fruiting I will then be able to cull the ones I don’t want and keep the good stuff. Now to have a quick wander through to see what’s changed since the evening, and find anything that blew away in the wind. Caster
trying my luck putting my khat outside, I think the tips were getting burnt while they were inside the hothouse. have to wait and see how they go... Anyone got any ideas? The ends seem to be shrivelling up and going black on new growth.
Enjaytee
@Caster sounds like it’s too hot and humid in the greenhouse for khat. I grow mine in lots of sun and no green house. I’m in a sub tropical climate.
Caster
I put them outside a little while ago, week or two, and they’ve got some nice new shoots growing
Dazed Botanicals
Finally made my cactus garden yesterday, so happy with it, now to keep expanding. I’ve got some issues with my Caapi and psychotria, can anyone help via the photos added? Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

Pedro99
Potted up some kat seedlings, mouth watering moved these ones from straight perlite into tight pots to hopefully prevent them from rotting when the next prolonged rainfall hits didn't do anything to this one, it's climbing my mulberry tree.. it's been getting pumped by aphid farming ants for months Angle of the sun has changed a lot over the past week and was smashing this one, so moved to a much shadier spot under some palms Staked all these courtii as they were hanging real low.. not sure when to try to remove the stake in the future.. hard to see them, i need to do some weeding Fallen soldier, rotted from all the rain I think this needs a re pot. about 1.2m and 4 pups. It's the strongest grower I have. A peruv sent from kojonup gf got me this myrtle, up potted the other day. my favourite smell in the world tbh Some young midjim berry bushes moved this black caapi to the base of this tree to give it something to climb my back hurts Edited February 18, 2020 by Pedro99 format

Thanks man I like how it is growing, I think I’m going to have to cut it as it’s getting rather too heavy. i believe it’s a pachanoi that’s crested.
Micromegas
jo I wouldn't cut that freaky plant. it's awesome. if you cut it, it may start to grow differently/revert to growing more normally. it's looks so happy and not like it's about to fall over, give some time i reckon and see what it does. 1

freespirit420
Has anyone created a ethnobotanical herbarium ? It would be cool! I'm thinking of making a herbarium of only medicinal plants.
sagiXsagi
^^^^ thats a pretty good idea! c. edulis wide leaf doing great in the semi-wild new location and also budding . how long does it take for it to produce seeds? and the other good news are that the acacia acuminatas made the winter and they look pretty fine little treelets Edited March 14, 2020 by sagiXsagi

Enjaytee
Hey gang. Hope everyone is well. Sifted a shit tonne of soil which kept me busy. Chore! The monotony was therapeutic tho. Making soils mixes for cacti, Potting up cactus, sowing poppies and been pruning hard, clearing old plants out. Kind of felt like the yard was getting swallowed by plants so I’ve opened it up a bit. A lot more sun coming in too. I’ve got a bit of grafting to do but I’m putting it off for the colder months when there is less to do outside. i have Sown some dream herb seeds. (African & Mexican) Put some stramonium seedlings in the ground. Sowed some datura wrightii, tatula, metel and more stramonys. Heres some recent pics from the garden. Plectranthus amboinicus aka Mexican mint. Anybody here ever cook with this?? A psychotria that caught my eye Looking perty N.Rustica germination (I got these from @Humboldta lil while back.) Cheers mate! Some brugs action Lacewing being badass My prized loph got rot on Center button boooooo! Slapped together a raised bed with some rocks. Sowing poppies in there for now. ive been trialing a cloner. Did some krat, voacanga, psychotria and brugs. Seems to work well with minimal fuss. Seed grown Bridgessii and Some hulk x Psycho0 crosses. The hulk x Psycho0 will become graft stock. Seed grown Mugwort Happy gardening folks Edited April 15, 2020 by Enjaytee Removed them sideways pics
FerdieJ
Gday all, love the pics, now some of mine. I have been at my place a little over 6 months and these are a few of the things I’ve done in the garden to this point. This is the first bed I started way back and have now finished apart from building the bridge. This is the second bed I started, this needs filling up some more with compost and mulch and then I have a plan to artify the succulent plantings into cool designs but I need more plants first so that’s a project for the future. This is where my chickens and ducks will go eventually, I want to landscape it and get the plants established before I introduce them, maybe 2 years. Finally for today this is a couple of planter boxes I have made up for ease of harvesting.these boxes have been planted out since the photos and look quite good, but more on that later. So there you have it, a visual guide to some of the stuff I’ve been doing. Hopefully many more updates to come on this front. Stay safe and busy peeps, much love.

Black Rainbow
Returned home after being away longer than planned. A few dead plants, a few sad plants, but on the upside some micro butt grafts seem to have taken which I didn't expect.
Black Rainbow
Did a bunch of micrografts with mixed trich seed to practice with a new set up before I start chopping up arios and lophs. Ended up doing a few cauliflower anyway because I couldn't help myself. Edited May 26, 2020 by Wile E. Peyote
