mud Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) First real attempt. did i get it right? It's only been about a week.. The lighter, greener looking 'leaves' have developed in the last 7 days.. Edited December 20, 2012 by mud
Mr. Bowser Posted December 20, 2012 Good work! Looks like the bottom graft took just fine (showing new signs of growth)! Just saw one of those 'leaved' opuntia's at the supermarket the other day, they look really interesting. Did you graft anything with the blue rubber band? chilli Posted December 20, 2012 I had a crest like that which grew very rapidly on it's own roots, is there a paricular reason for grafting them?
mud Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) : ) I grafted a tiny piece that I borrowed from a larger (rather expensive) plant. The top band was holding the thin sliver that let me make the cut straight. I"ll be very happy if it continues growing.. just a little practice I suppose : ) Edited December 20, 2012 by mud
