omsource Posted December 16, 2012 Hey all, Been flat out recently and haven't been on the forum for ages! My incubation room is overflowing at the moment and I've got to off load a ton of material. Didn't want to compost lots of the bags as most of them are ready to grow, so I thought I'd put it out there... If anyones keen I'll post them off for the price of shipping something like $10-12 gotta check the rates. I'll post them off when I get time (next month or so) See below and first in first served... King Oyster 1.5kg small fruiting bags I've got stacks of these! A number of larger KingOyster bags (some may be to heavy to ship cheaply) Shiitake bags ready to pop! 2-3 bags only One and only One! Grain Spawn bag of SRA strain 12 (this guy has a slight bacterial contam but it would go fine planting it outdoors in hardwood woodchips- note: strain 12 is second generation from the Starweed strain (I believe a wild strain collected up in the Byron Shire?) Post here and note what you want...The small bags are 1.5 kg and the big ones hopefully are under 3kg. 3kg Postage Satchel is something like $11/12 so thats what they'd go for. It will take me some time to organise so be patient and remember they're free OmSource
PositiveHAL Posted December 16, 2012 hi omsource, great offer! i've never grown mushrooms, what sort of set up would i need to get these to fruit from here on? if it's not too difficult then i'd love to try
goneski Posted December 16, 2012 Wow, how awesome and generous! I'd be keen for a Shiitake bag
waterboy 2.0 Posted December 16, 2012 I'd be interested in the SRA OmSource . I have a pile of wood debris that could do with some breaking down. The chickens nuked the bed I put the last ones down in...lol...so I sadly lost the strain from your previous plates, it just couldn't handle as much disturbance as the dished out and they loved, still dont think they actually ate it though. (note dont let get chickens get to outdoor beds...lol). If by chance theres still may be a left over small king bag if not claimed, could be a good project for my kids childcare. But spread the love first mate. NIce givewaway
Jox Posted December 16, 2012 Awesome! omsource Posted December 16, 2012 good stuff... SRA spoken for 1x shiitake bag spoken for possibly a couple of kings big or small (there are dozens and dozens of these so don't be shy!) You'd need to keep the humidity high for all the blocks, keep the kings in the bags and just mist the opening...remove the shiitake block, soak it in water for a few hours and maybe cover it with a humidity tent (large bag with holes cut in it) both the kings and the shiitake will fruit well in a shotgun terrarium
