nabraxas Posted November 14, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71aAmNqaVVw this doesn't really apply to me as i never had any trouble w/MJ while smoking, i gave it up easily & didn't use for about 5 years. now i use it very occasionally & have no problem w/that either. however i would be interested to hear what you guys think.
SunChaser Posted November 14, 2012 Well, I think he makes some good points that are true in most cases, but should already be very obvious and certainly wouldn’t come as a revelation to anyone who’s had a heavy cannabis habit. Other than that, I think his are know it all wanker, who’s just simplifying the complex issue of why a lot people become heavy cannabis smokers in the first place. It’s a fairly common characteristic among most addiction experts and such. I mean, what about the people who suffer from a serious mental illness and are fully aware of the side effects a long-term heavy cannabis habit can have, yet use it anyway since they have found it is the only thing that will give them some kind of relief. Some people are bound to be in a sad & miserable place for their entire life, no matter what they do. This guy just seems to assume that everyone is just like him and just need to quit herb for a few months, then are guaranteed to just magically come good and will all of a sudden be able to just start living an extremely productive and positive lifestyle. Like I said I think his a know it all wanker, imo. But having said that, I’m sure his prospective could probably help some people with their habit of just sitting around without the motivation to do anything else but constantly hit the bong. Alice Posted November 14, 2012 I think he offers sensible advice. For someone who wants to quit and is seeking information, they could do a lot worse than this video.
shruman Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) Forgetting the whole convoluted & ambiguos way he uses the word 'addiction'. I have personaly experienced alot of what he says but I also aknowledge others like nab have little or none of these issues so I think its a bit irresponsible in telling people you will experience these symptoms as opposed to telling them they may experience these symptoms seems like his setting some people up for a hard time they may otherwise not encounter. Otherwise some decent advice but seems like the commonsense advice most people here would & have given maybe we are all 'addiction specialists' & never even knew it. nabraxas Posted November 15, 2012 i think its just the nicotine addiction not the weed i wouldn't say it was "just" the nicotine, but i agree that for those who do use bacci in their mixes it wouldn't make it any easier to give up. and yeah, he does come off as abit ov a tosser.
