SAB cacti updated

Recommended Posts

I have just added over 60 cacti from about a dozen varieties to the SAB webstore :puke:

I'll be adding a bunch more in coming weeks, including a range of interesting hybrids :drool2:

I'll say it again; I love having a person on the inside :)

Awesome :)

Any idea why they don't all appear in the "New Products" section? Is it because they have been previously stocked, so the webstore doesn't recognise them as "new"?

Should be a "Back in stock" button lol :)

Yes that's right Alice, only newly listed stock shows up in the "New Products" section.

Agree about the "Back in Stock" feature :)

There's already an "Email me when new stock arrives" button. It seems to work, I think.

Thanks Toast and At0m.

I've seen that button, I guess what I mean is something not product specific, but rather another "list" to tempt me into purchases.

Edit: I realise that such things as "just adding another button" are rarely simple or quick to implement haha, if indeed it was a suggestion that was though of as a good idea. But I figure I may as well put it out there, I personally appreciate constructive feedback on my projects as long as the person's not being a wanker about it lol. So I hope it's OK here too.

Anyway, website looks really great, and thanks Toast for the cacti update :)

I have just added 11 new Echinopsis hybrids to the SAB webstore and relisted another three, about 300 cacti in all :P

Thanks Alice. I'm looking into a function that can list when existing products are relisted as being in stock after being out of stock previously.

Constructive feedback is definitely welcome B)

Damn, I am having trouble finding out what can and cannot be sent to WA.

I remember there was a thread a while ago but haven't had any luck finding it yet.. anyone know the one i mean?

if I order seeds will it just not allow the order if they aren't allowed in WA or do I need to figure it out and risk getting the fee or whatever?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something but the new lots don't seem to have sizes on them? Just the pot size as far as I can see.

Yeah I'd love to see a thread dedicated to the SAB nursery, not just showing cacti but the ENTIRE nursery. I will make time in the next couple of months to cruise down there and have a look. It's open to the public right?

yerp, supposedly you need a decent car(4wd) to visit tho, which is why i havent dropped in!

If anyone can tell me if an older car could make it to their place, it would be much appreciated.

The nursery is open to the public Monday - Friday 2 - 4 pm.

A 4WD is not currently required to access the property although the driveway is unsealed and a little rutted out and steep towards the top :P

Hope to see some more forums members make an appearance here.

We have a few treats here not available on the webstore, like a range of plants too large to send.

I am planning on starting a thread about the nursery, with photos and details of what we've been up to & what we have planned.

It would also give forum members a place to provide feedback about our stock etc.

It is on my rather long list of things to do

at0m we are now listing the pot size and not the size as it is problematic to update the sizes as the cacti grow.

Generally the hybrids are all over 10cm except for E. scopicola "Chris" x E. peruviana "JAC006" and E. lageniformis "Tig" x E. lageniformis "Len" which are currently about 6cm.

Also, we alway select the healthiest, tallest cacti when we are picking stock to send.

Awesome Toast. I know you've only just started but I really feel already that having you work there is such a positive move for everyone, business and customer alike. Having this sort of regular communication from within Wandjina is fantastic.

chilli we cannot send any all plants to WA, nor some seeds and some dried herbs & herbal products.

If you would like a full listed of prohibited producted please use the SAB email form.

I can't take it anymore!!! Will be driving down to Wandjina Gardens soon so if anyone wants to catch-up or meet I'll be there to have a looksie around the nursery. I really want to stop in at Nimbin also as I haven't had the chance to visit there yet and is on my to-do list. Also are there any other ethno nursery's or places or interest worth visiting in the area that would be of interest to the ethno community?

Also need a little help IDing these little fellas I got from Bunnings yesterday
