Question

Curious to know what cacti this is.

Its 9cm in diameter , 7 ribbed, has creamy and sometimes bit of beige spines averaging 3 or 4 at 4 - 5 cm long

and spaced about 3.5 cms apart.

Either that or Knuthianus, depending on if you actually divide between the two. Spination looks a lot like Knuthianus but i wouldnt be hesistant to label it cuzcoensis. Maybe label it Knuthianus/Cuzcoensis. :)

identification of the cactus and if it is in the Trichocereus

It is pretty safe to say it is in the trichocereus family Bridgeman. And I doubt you are going to get much more of a definitive answer than what has all ready been given above.

Second to EG's post... looks like Knuthianus or a hybrid of that specie. Trichos labled as cuzcos seem to have a distinctive 'S' shape to the indentation between ribs. Dunno if its a difference in lighting, growing conditions or what, but the waxy coating on cuzco seems more gray/white than blue, whereas the waxy coating on knuthianus seem more blue. However, the spines in both cuzco and knuthianus broaden at the aerole, so it could easily be either. Not definitive, just my 2c. More importantly, a nice healthy looking cactus, beautiful color!
