Plenny at mysotopia attempted, and dismissed the idea as nowhere near as good as a dubtub in straight cowpoo. (for instance) The magic one could attain with the simplest of bulk grow methods, far outweighs the liquid culture extraction nonsense on just about every count. I imagine that eating myc, would be akin to using different parts of a magic plant for different effects. The main organism has a far different message to its fruit..or flowers..or leaves. Doubt it would ever be worth aiming for a decent journey on.
