I would call that some pretty good free Advertising. Only thing that wasnt really good was the comment they constructed about "police not being able to..." but i am thousand percent sure that Torsten or whoever it was didnt say it in this context. The good thing is that SAB is sticking very strict to the laws and thats why even a bad TV report cant really shake it. However, i think it is a disgusting thing to do on a personal level because they misused Torstens trust and good will. I work as a freelancer for the press every now and then and this is the lowest form of journalism. Its not even journalism, its just populistic crap! Im really sad to see how they wronged Torsten here just to get a populistic clip.

Another thing i missed in the report was a few lines about the handsome german mod on the forum headquarter. Very very poor style all together. :(

What can you say? It's misrepresentative, but so are most of the drug laws and many of the "beliefs" of the populace.

It's nasty that they made T out to be secretive, man the website is open to anyone, as are the forums (so long as you behave and don't post anything illegal!) and so what if he doesn't want random people turning up on his front doorstep? Fuck there are some crazies out there, I've met some weird people who have been sent to SAB and T's policy is a good one.

What's nasty is they've made him out to be a bad guy and they know fuck all about him.

What's weird is why they have singled him out? It really looks like an ad in some ways, don't they know of the other growers out there too - headquarters of Australian drug users anonymous. It's almost funny.

I'd like to know more about the brain damage thingy too, never heard that claim before. Sure they weren't talking about bath salts or something?

Thanks for sharing was eager to watch it but I only get foxtel.

What a joke, I like how they threw in the syringes to make it look like we're all bunting these cacti and ayas directly into our veins, not for innoculation of cakes of anything no not at all  It's all about the manufacturing of these super new brain damaging party drugs

And that quote from T, the whole ..... In between the last two lines just make it blatant that it was taken out of context.

Oh also, hi to all the guests that have come here because of the segment :) welcome to the forum!!

Yes, enjoy your stay. We're a friendly bunch here. Just stay away from the shemale thread and the cactus porn thread and you'll be fine. :)

Anyone know how to get in touch with this Gordian Fulde character? I'd like to ask him exactly what hallucinogens he's talking about and if he can provide any evidence. There are probably things that are hallucinogenic that are known to cause brain damage in high doses, but I don't think that would include any discussed in the segment, so it might be good to have a reply (or lack thereof) for a rebuttal.

Hi Channel 7 viewers, if you want an alternative view to life here's the place to be.

Lots of exciting plants, friendly banter, expletives and questioning of mainstream society values.

Just be careful, Rosemary is psychoactive and so is Valerian, so be careful about overdosing on these highly legal herbs which you can probably find in your local garden centre. Damn it if they aren't so secretive about what they sell! Rosemary is quite dangerous; my cousin who suffers from epilepsy finds it brings on very severe attacks, so I wonder if we should ban it - especially the essential oil.

Bunnings sells cacti too, so next time you want to do a bit of planting out head over their first there may be some cheap mescaline to boot. Just drop a wink with the staff and I'm sure they will sell you some fertiliser under the counter.

And I heard a little rumour that lettuce contains trace amounts of opiates, so next time you are in Woolworths grab a trolleyful see if you can get a little happy. Always "Happy to Help" so I've heard.

Yeah, from what I've looked at so far it doesn't sound like he was quoted out of context, lol.

Whitewind, you forgot nutmeg and poppy seeds. They are both hardcore.

The reporter brought the plants back. said he couldn't take them all on the plane. but he kept the cactus. WTF? still had it in the car to the airport, so looks like it was going back to sydney with him. I guess he figured the aya plants weren't enough to brew up, but the cactus was ;)

Perhaps they'll come back with a new, more enlightened, report.

Or every other over the counter drug which is being abused. But lets keep the focus on 1 natural nursery, and evil cacti which even the hypocrite reporter cant bear to have missing from his garden lol!

the bullshit to second ratio in that video is astounding.. i lost count of all the inaccuracies etc.

is that the whole thing? a two minute vilificaton of SAB?

Looks like they were out to slander and stir from the beginning and it didn't matter how much T or anyone else wanted to help them present an unbiased story or at least one showing both sides.. media scum do it again.

loved the comment from Justin btw, right on.

hope they dont let the plants they bought die..

He is always on ACA and TT. He is the emergency director at the St Vincent's Hospital. He is a decent guy IMO who is well known in the Australian harm reduction community.

I assume he could have been quoted out of context as well.

I was hoping for an email address, but can't find one. I found a phone number, but don't know if it's current.

Someone should do a satirical parody of that story and sneak into a supermarket with a hidden camera of the sugar aisle, then they could come home and spread it on the table and demonise that. If it had similar title it could come up as a similar clip in the side panel of the youtube page.

The only difference is they wouldn't need a doctor to lie about the detrimental effects of sugar.

I can just imagine the words you'd get to take out of context and make the head of woolworths look like "Sugar Kingpin" if you questioned them.

PsychMaster there was nothing you could have done even if you'd known. T had professional, media ready people prepared to discuss the science of the matter willingly with the news team. He provided the news team with their contact details. They never followed up

The gutter press are ugly, syphiliptic parasites. By the time they arrive at your door they already have their story written, no matter what they tell you, or what facts may stand in the way of their presentation being actual truth
