trich ID help

Hi guys, in a parallel universe my imaginary friend has inherited a cacti that he thinks is a trich but isn't sure exactly what type. Can anyone help me ID this cacti?

It's in need of a little tlc, but he would like to know the best way to get the most out of it. Any advice as the best way to go about doing this? Should he cut off all the arms and pups and grow these separately to maximise the amount of plant growth or would it be best to keep it as is?

Id say thats a scop. I would keep it as is. But if your going to chop it up, i would only take 1 branch off it.

Trichocereus scopulicola or now known as Echinopsis scopulicola

I'd say keep it as it is, repot into a bigger pot, or even better plant in the garden and watch it boom

I think the ridges seem a bit too 'wobbly' for it to be a scopulicola? Regular pachanois can also have small/nonexistant spines.

Quixote, this is a very common type of scop. Its not the one with the little bit longer spines thats being spread from an australian gardenchain but one that is nearly spineless.
