ebay madness

Recommended Posts

I have been watching Ebay (au) quite closely and am seeing some stupidly ridiculous prices. Two lots of TEN, yes ten LW seeds of unknown heritage and viability being sold for in excess of $30 !

and here :

The prices we pay here in Australia are so extravagant in general, let-alone these ridiculous blowouts i keep seeing on the Australian EBAY

I have been watching Ebay.de ( which i believe is the European ebay ? )quite a bit.... and the plants going there are amazing.

Here are a few from recent that have ended ( just scroll down for final prices )

http://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649 ( < a crested loph for under a hundred )

http://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649

and this 12yr old seed grown LW for under $50 http://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649

. ( EG I have to say I am very jealous )

Why are our cacti so expensive :BANGHEAD2:

EDIT : ( does anyone know how to navigate through the japanese section of cacti on their domestic ebay ? )

(double edit) For some real amazing plants for some crazy prices ya have to check out catalogue 18 at uncle chorn's cabin ( there are 8 pages to flick through at the top ) I so want to become a cactus smuggling fiend

There's also ebay.co.uk.

Also, install Chrome, use Google translate or get an on the fly translate plugin for your browser and you can view the Japanese eBay.

I'll be wondering around the local farmers market this weekend. I saw some misc. little ornamental cacti last time but was too out of it to buy anything. I'll post pictures if I find anything fun.

There a few thread dedicated to failures more epic then this.

I have messaged a few sellers before, to find out if they new better. Based on responces, they shouldn't be held accountable for there actions

The plant is the one that was sold the seller will often post a pic of what the plant will look like ( another plant ) and then he always posts a pic of the plant that is on offer.

Cheers
