Psilocybe subaeruginosa...Variations in shape, color, size etc..

Recommended Posts

Here is a display of P.subaeruginosa, showing the variations that they can come in. This thread isn't meant to replace 'The first subs of the season' threads each year, it's more just a gallery to show the different colors, sizes, shapes etc... that P.sub' can come in.

Feel free to add photos of Psilocybe subaeruginosa (but they MUST be Psilocybe subaeruginosa).

If possible,I would like to keep this thread 'pictures only' (captions on photos are fine).

(@... naja naja, if you feel this thread should be in the Fungus ID sub forum, feel free to move it :) )

OK, lets kick it off...

Some variations of South Australian subs found in native bush and in ferns.

After uploading my photos to an album I realise the only way to easily get the pictures like Amazonian's in the first post is to upload them as attachments :/

Otherwise they come out linking to the picture in the gallery... ah well.

here are some grown in a garden woodchip bed. the pics arent great, but as you can see they are very umbrella shape and stand no taller than 1.5 inch mature

these ones are from the same patch as the woodchip bed ones. they have migrated 10mtrs into a man made rockery/creek thats littered with eucy compost. these ones grow the same height, max 1.5 inch but the cap is almost 3 times larger, possibly due to getting more nutrients other than garden woodchips...?
