trichocereus ID

Question

Hi guys, visited the local botanischer garten today and found some nice plants and cacti in spring bloom. This cacti stood out to me as a a possible trichocereus species, maybe a bridgesii? There was no label (first hint) and looks like lots of cuttings have been hacked off it (second hint). Thanks!

cool! the garden has a fair few plants of ethnobotanical interest actually - many datura, brugmansia, tobacco, morning glory, ephedra, lilies, mullein and evidently, tricho cacti. the cacti greenhouse was quite impressive, including a huge barrel cactus that curves over the walkway with menacing spines and bridgesii cutting just lying around. will get some more photos next time I wonder through.
