Change Posted June 8, 2012 Their beautiful. How old are the larger grafted buttons in the first picture? If you would care to explain which plants you uses to graft your buttons to and how much it speeds up their growth, id love to learn from your experience. Ethos Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) In the last pic regarding the 3 headed loph graft, is that an areole graft i can see on the side? or just a branch from the peres? Edited June 9, 2012 by Ethos

Stillman Posted June 13, 2012 dg420 are you in OZ? You got some big cuts there.
.dg Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) no, i'm in northern california. maybe 100 or so seedlings in 1/2gal pots (not pictured), about 70 smaller ones in 1-2gal pots and 130 larger plants in 3-10gal pots all the cacti in pic 2 are fresh cuts from this spring, rooting in small 1gal pots for the summer recently had a friend fall out of the hobby and doubled my collection!! he did some trading with you folks in aus, i think i have most of the named aus clones, and almost all of the popular north american clones, and lots of hybrids too, but all the labels have been sun bleached off soon to come, a 20-30' foot wide by 40-60' foot long greenhouse my friend has a log mill, so we will be building permanent beds and planting most of them in huge beds by next spring Edited June 14, 2012 by dg420

mutant Posted June 14, 2012 myco sorry for me also for the highjack. nice and tidy grafts! DG man you got a house next to a fir/abies forest?? awesome! you get mushrooms there in automn? I think I am jealous sucks you lost the labels. if you ever try to figure it out and want an opinion from a good eye, let me know ;) I dont have all the known clones, but I came to find this goal a bit vein, collecting every named thing there is out there, especially since I am collecting almost all genuses of cacti and succulents. I have some clones from oz & nz [but missing PsychO] and also dont have lumberjack or juuls giant but I was sent a scop X juuls seedling which is awesome and you can tell even from the small seedling that his plant will be awesome. another plants I am looking for is the supposed 'terscheckii X bridgesii' and scopX bridgesii and of course I am still looking for the peruvian crest and the bridgesi melted wax. long live cacti nerds
Paisano Posted June 21, 2012 WOW! LOVE! do you just set the seedlings on top of the perskiopsis or do you have to slice those tiny things?
