nabraxas Posted April 4, 2012 http://deaddrops.com/ ‘Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space. USB flash drives are embedded into walls, buildings and curbs accessible to anybody in public space. Everyone is invited to drop or find files on a dead drop. Plug your laptop to a wall, house or pole to share your favorite files and data. there are 3 in Aus according to the site, one in Melb., one in Syd., & one in Launceston. seems like a really fun idea. ErraneousHerbalist Posted April 4, 2012 What a neat idea! I'm sure there's a black hat out there who thinks this would be as well ;)

Distracted Posted April 4, 2012 Cool idea but I reckon the building/wall will last a fuuuuck of a lot longer than a usb stick.
Belching Posted April 4, 2012 For real, I have enough trouble keeping a USB stick working when it's on my keyring, one exposed to the elements would crap out immediately.
