Super pedro and Western Australia: hot or not?

Recommended Posts

There seems to be some confusion about the so-called Super Pedro, and possibly at least two plants that have been labelled as such.

Can anyone confirm whether the one referred to in these 2006 posts:

http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11700&view=findpost&p=104877

and pictured here:

http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11572&view=findpost&p=103343

is this the same one that is being traded (especially in WA) as Super Pedro?

It certainly looks similar, and fits with the description above..

Good question, the only one i can see that for sure looks similar are the fat logs at the right hand side of the top right picture.

Cheers GOT, I can see yours like mine fits fairly well with the physical description in post 4 in the first link.

Yeah they do look the same, but like I said I have heard that the term may have been applied to at least two different cacti, hopefully someone else with more knowledge than me can shed more light.

Wouldnt surprise me if theres many more cacti out there reffered to as super pedro. See the "ebay sanpedro bargin" thread for an explanation of my thinkings.

Alright, i did quite a whole lot of cleaning in both threads and brought this one back. No Discussions about Potency please. Had to edit a very old thread to keep this thread here and i dont like ass-raping 6 year old Threads over something that could potentially be answered by using the search engine as well. Thanks. bye Eg

Thanks EG for sorting that out, I appreciate it and sorry for making your day harder.

As far as UTSE goes though, I read most of the threads here on super pedro and couldn't find an answer.

I've got a Lance, Spiny Scop and Super Pedro now... some people say they are all the same but I'm not so sure, the spine color at least is different and looks like the girth too.

Anyway, all things considered.. cool plant.
