Maxuel Powers III
Nice idea on not using take away containers. Do you have any top cover over the trays for germination ? How about sterilising the soil, and what is your mix? Your seedlings look great for their age! Cheers I use about 60% pearlite, and 40% potting soil, No strylization at all. I just cover the top usualyl with pearlite or vermiculite. Then algea grows on it but it can be removed and replaced easy enough. I do used humidty dome or platic wrap with minor airflow from start then after 1-1.5 months I start to wean then to inside humidity once they show a lil size. Then they sit inside anywhere from 1-4 months to bulk up 2 inches under the flourescent. Once they have tiny bit of size over 1 inch they go outside for sun hardening. Now these trays get busted up into 3.5x3.5 inch pots, 4-5 to a pot. Then in 6 months its 1 to a pot.

FancyPants
So one of our Loph grafts' stock finally went cactus and fell over where we hadn't noticed and rotted. I've never grafted or degrafted before so I'm nervous. I don't have any rooting powder. I just cut the heads off leaving the smallest surface area, and did the same with the big head although it has the places where the smaller ones were cut. Am I ok to just leave them to dry and callous somewhere warm and dry until they root? N00b I know but I don't want to lose these guys
BedOSpines
I rooted some loph de grafts recently. i took the peres stock out.. it was much deeper then i would have liked. I also took the bottom pups off. I put sulphur on the cut surfaces right after cutting. i left them with the wound exposed in on a bench in room with the fan on.. wound was reasonably hard in a week. I then flipped em and put them on top of bone dry soil mix. after 2 weeks i now have roots. they root whilst on top of a shelf with a bit of bottom heat. idk if that's necessary but it didn't hurt. I pulled about 3 pups off the button. two where quite small and dried up but one has also rooted. in the same amount of time.the big JourdanianaThe little pup that rooted.
