☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) dared to give the astros 3ml of 3x strength feed and added tomato food this echinopsis pilosa is fkn rlly going for it, thanking my lucky stars that the prettiest one is gna flower first i cant imagine the excitement you guys get seeing a tricho do this....! Echinopsis are harder than a coffin nail! , one of these pilosa arrived squashed , the gits had only packed it in a tea-bag box though so is probably just as much their fault as the mail's only fed em twice.... ....dared to buy a cactus on amazon again ... fingers x'd , has never gone well before , it was called ... Echinopsis fahk!.......... there's too many echinopsis! ummm yeah multiplex that was it , reminded me of a transfukkinformer lol metroplex .. frm the 80's roll out the hunt for echinoptimus prime ;) ....found a new cool-looking angle to photograph from ...finally my youngest's pasacana is recovering from the onslaught of the first heatwave of the year, .... after being in the healing tank ... found the first really painful pain in cacti flowering so far.... if only i could cross this pach with the subdenudata 'pilosa' Edited June 24, 2014 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) TH will you post a clearer pic of the pach with a bud? clearer pics of the bud please & who's to say you wont have trich pollen available when it does flower...... just the right time to catch that, first light sorry bout the fuzz on a few, i tried to get better shots, its one of those cacti i have to twist an awkward angle round other things, like a big fat table...; to get pics of due to it's position on the windowsill lol i tend to do it's general husbandry thru the window from the other side of it ... later when dressed and ready for the morning school run , I was taking photos of the L128 hemiancistrus sp' that finally allowed me to photograph it and the corydoras panda sharing breakfast time with us as usual ..and I figured I should take some pics of the pach' bud from the other side of the window Edited June 24, 2014 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) finally the uk sourced 11 litre pots arrived, fukkn terrible , they took 21 days to send me some fly away shite i cant even use ... the fkn bastajes! so i uprooted the werdermannianus which had the fattest root stock id ever seen in my life!!! (on a cactus) i did this ...., so the validus? terscheckoid can have the right size pot and get back on display instead of being in an 18litre pot and too big to fit in... theres no way im puttn my validus possibility in some cheap nasty aunties bloomers ... it needs sexy underwear its because of this need for baddassery-sexy-black-sleek-square pots, ... that I'm deeming terracotta : a major douchebaggery of the utmost calibur, and even switched the sacred loph to one the other day sorry but terracotta looks shit compared to these pots.... and they dont make it the same any more my gramps terracotta is still going , ... while the stuff ya can get today , fails faster than a slippery bastage in a polished steel vertical chute.... .... .. so I downsized the werdermannianus into a 5 litre pot that a small terscheckii was wasting.... which is now in a 2 litre pot what is it about the uk and square pots? can they get anything right with em ? over here ... The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 prohibits businesses from treating consumers unfairly. In particular, a misleading act or omission by the seller, which results in the buyer purchasing an item that they wouldn't have otherwise have purchased, is a criminal offence in most cases. so they put up a pic of a heavy duty pot , and send shit ones instead 21 days later that look nothing like it... those cheap-ass, plastic-dome, pot-molesting, saprophyte motherfkrz! what's more annoying is that when i bought the original 11litre pot... i only bought one so kicking myself for not buying multiples like with every other pot size .... any hoo .......... so its hard to stay pissed off when thisis happening tho and when its as sunny as this or even how pretty when it's raining and one outdoor diversity enrichment programme appears to be so far successful Edited June 24, 2014 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

woof woof woof Posted June 25, 2014 The Hungarian ebay cacti mafia delivered; Got my TBCM! Also got a Turbini and a A. Caput Med. with that same delivery. Now I am just gonna watch em all day! ;-)
mutant Posted June 25, 2014 TBCM seriously kick ass... I got 4 some 1-2 months ago, I am itching to graft some, but its been some time since I grafted and I am afraid to cut them fuckerz... astyro caput medusae must also be interesting for the potential of graftin in a ferocactus , lol
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) and that wasnt that bad delivery timing as far as it feels either ! is Hungary next to Czech? I notice a lot of pelecyph babies from there today i also watered/fed the trichos by dunk a la bonsai, rather than 100ml syringe barrel ... this gave me ample opportunity to give the windowsills a good clean with some alcohol and baby wipes : ] Isn't it annoying when perlite floats to the top of your media when watering! I have found that i now have to water the werdermannianus like a bonsai ... instead of a 3-4 times weekly 3-400ml of feed , it seems to want more and more and get fatter and fatter but no taller , so i stuck it in a bucket with 2 litres of feed and left it to suck up all it wantsit seems to have a bridgesii-esque smile -especially in the top lip- but in a super fat format ...phew ... finally finished , i think im gna water like that every weekend from now on , its a bigger job but with them flooding and standing it should save me having to water every few days... they ate 3 times what i would usually feed the whole lot in total , i usually use up 5 litres of 4xstrenght feed on the tricho's alone this time was fkn fifteen had to open a new tomato food bottle and another cactus food bottle! all tidyed, disinfected and turned round for even growth, and now they even all fit snug , vacating room for at least 2 or 3 more cacti Edited June 26, 2014 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) Today I checked germinatia and even more seedlings had sprouted, so i gave them a once over spray of freshly fallen rain... some pupping had progressed on the windowsills and nearly every tip was growing saw a lovely decent sized bridgesii from uk on ebay had sold for the right price... and from the only top class "newer" uk cactus vendor.. also oddly enough two bunches of yet more echinopsis subdenudata arrived yesterday.... now i have too many ... i never ordered any more.... turns out this is what the vendor on amazon thinks is echinopsis multiplex so anyhow i did a bit of research on multiplex to find it appears to be synonymous with echinopsis oxygona ... which i bought already a few months ago .... hmmm should i write to them and tell them ... i have to admit , subdenudata is easily the prettiest i found so far far too pretty to send them back is a lot easier to take pics after shiftn the table too Edited June 28, 2014 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

djmattz0r Posted June 28, 2014 (edited) I hate bugs that eat cacti I put some marble chunks down to help reflect/disperse sunlight and to prevent weeds, unfortunately I only bought 2 bags thinking it would be enough. Will get some more bags but probably wait till I fill in the rest before putting much more down... Edited June 28, 2014 by djmattz0r
