mira Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) These were all from the same batch of seed and came to me as "peruvianus" seedlings but they are starting to look distinctly like T. cuzcoensis to me. I'd sincerely appreciate confirmation or thoughts especially from some of the resident experts. #1: #2: #3: Edited November 1, 2011 by mira

0 tripsis Posted November 1, 2011 I'd call them T. cuzcoensis. The second one is quite unusual looking, but it still fits the bill to me.
0 Evil Genius Posted November 1, 2011 Hi Mira, seed can produce very variable plants. Wheres the seed from? Could be knize sourced. I´d call them Cuzcoensis but i agree the horizontal furrows on the second one look interesting. Thats typical for natural hybrids. You know, there is so much diffrent pollen in a habitat and most of the time, insects are the pollinators. Who knows what plant that bug was nibbeling before. No way to say for sure. But a nice plant to grow. Personally, i´d only keep the second one, make very detailed label with info about the seed and see how it grows under diffrent conditions. bye Eg
0 mira Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Hey EG, the person who grew them doesn't know the source of seed, but I suspect it is Koehres seed, but maybe it's Kinze seed. I'll keep an eye on the second one which has always looked a little special to me too. Thanks for the confirmation EG and tripsis. 0 Evil Genius Posted November 1, 2011 If it comes from Köhres, its definately Knize sourced. They bought a few types from him in the past. But they stopped doing business with him just like anyone else.
